Online encyclopaedia "WikiParkinson" introduced in Luxembourg on World Parkinson Day 2016
"YOU HAVE TO GIVE BEFORE YOU TAKE"
Well over a year after the take-off of the NCER-PD research program, tiny Luxembourg is again the stage for a most ambitious startup in the field of Parkinson's disease. The 11th of April 2016, World Parkinson's Day, saw the introduction to the general public of WikiParkinson. As the name suggests, an online platform, structured like a Wiki and dedicated exclusively to Morbus Parkinson.
WikiParkinson was started by Koen Wynkoop
(58), a Dutchman who spent the greater part of his life in the Grand-Duchy. A retired communication pro, he got technical support from Fred ten Kley
(47), IT engineer with EP-NUFFIC, the organisation for the internationalisation in education. Forget about that 'retired", Wynkoop grins, "in my whole life I never worked so many hours as right now".
